A City of Watertown Program Supporting Heat Pump Adoption

Electrify Watertown is a community initiative designed to help Watertown residents make informed, confident decisions about clean home heating and cooling. By connecting residents with trusted information, local resources, and personalized support, the program makes it easier to explore energy-efficient solutions that can improve home comfort, lower energy costs, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The program focuses on expanding access to heat pump technology, particularly for renters, lower-income households, and multifamily property owners who often face greater barriers to adopting clean energy solutions. Through education, one-on-one coaching, community events, and partnerships with local organizations, Electrify Watertown helps residents understand their options and navigate available incentives and programs.

This collaborative effort is led by the City of Watertown in partnership with MassEnergize and the HeatSmart Alliance, bringing together local leadership, community engagement, and technical expertise to build a healthier, more resilient, and more sustainable Watertown.
